This design contemplates Theo van Doesburg’s manifesto on Elementarism. Theo Van Doesburg’s manifesto asserts that planes themselves do not have innate meaning or form, instead only through contrast can the experience of space emerge. Thus, the dialogue between planes creates meaning for the material object beyond that of a simple metal or acrylic sheet as well as suggest an ambiguous and indefinite space which emerges between the material form.
